We have many amazing hills and landscapes to explore in Scotland and knowing how to navigate is a must-have skill. Our courses mainly take place around the Southern Cairngorms at Glenshee, Braemar and Ballater. There are a variety of landscapes from heather moorland and pine forests to remote glens and granite topped munros to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Price:<\/strong>&nbsp;This course costs \u00a3250 per day and can have up to eight participants. One day will allow an introduction to navigation. Most courses are aimed at navigation for the Munros. Each course will be tailored to the participants and aims to instil confidence and self-sufficiency in navigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-center is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where is it?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Navigation skills would usually be run in the glens, hills and munros around the following locations;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ballater, Loch Muick and Lochnagar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Braemar with access to the southern Cairngorms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glenshee &#8211; The hills accessible from the Glenshee Ski Centre such as Glas Maol.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Glen Clova and Glen Esk<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for a different location? He is a qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, a Winter and Summer Mountain Leader and teaches the National Navigation Award Scheme.
