Guided Rock Climbing

Guided rock climbing at Longhaven, Peterhead

Looking for an adventurous climbing experience in remote locations? This is the perfect session for you. Guided climbing is a step above our climbing taster session, taking you to bigger more adventurous locations, and/or enabling you to achieve specific goals under the safety of an instructor. Perhaps you are looking to experience multipitch rock climbing, want to climb above the sea, or maybe you are looking to tick a classic mountain rock route. Our guided climbing session can be tailored to your ambitions.

It may be classic routes from books such as Ken Wilson’s Classic Rock, Hard Rock or Extreme Rock books. Or climbs from “The Great Mountain Crags of Scotland”. Routes such as Eagles Ridge on Lochnagar, Square Face on Beinn A’ Bhuird, Savage Slit in Coire An Lochain, Ardverikie Wall on Binnein Shuas, the list goes on ….

What does guiding climbing involve?

We plan our guided climbing days around the goals of the client and this means the schedule for the day can vary a lot! When making your booking we will discuss and tailor your day to your ambitions and give you clear instructions on what to expect.

We will most likely meet in a car park and have a chat about the day and ensure we have all the equipment we will need. Then we will walk to the climb, this could be anything from 10 minutes to 3 hours depending on the climb you choose! Your instructor Liam will lead you on climb allowing you to relax and the climbing. There will be opportunities to learn along the way and improve your technical climbing skill set.
